Outlier – The Fomorian

The Fomorians are a supernatural race in Irish mythology. They are often portrayed as hostile and monstrous beings who come from the sea or underground.

 

Here is a very strange poem by Irish poet Paul Muldoon:

Outlier

 

In Armagh or Tyrone

I fell between two stones.

 

In Armagh or Tyrone

On a morning in June

That raised me as their own.
